Rhonda Feiman is a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist who has been in private practice in Belfast, Maine since 1993. She primarily uses the Toyohari method of Japanese acupuncture which utilizes gentle and powerful non-insertion needle techniques. She also practices Japanese acupuncture in the style of Kiiko Matsumoto, Chinese acupuncture, and pediatric acupuncture. Individualized Chinese herbal prescriptions are an integral part of her practice as is nutritional and wellness counseling, including Qi Gong. This is a practice for the whole family and addresses many types of chronic and acute conditions using the time-tested, sophisticated diagnostic techniques of East Asian medicine. Rhonda Feiman received her Master of Science of Oriental Medicine degree from Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1992. She is nationally-certified and holds state licenses in Maine, New Mexico and New York. She continues her ongoing studies of Japanese styles of acupuncture with masters from the Toyohari Association in the United States and Japan. In addition, she has completed post graduate Chinese herbal studies with Sharon Weizenbaum at White Pine Healing Arts in Amherst, Massachusetts. She studies regularly with Tai Chi master Mike Shunney of Rockland, ME. and has taken Qi Gong workshops with Ken Cohen and Share K. Lew. For many years, she has practiced Iyengar Yoga, and has taken many workshops in the practice of mind-body awareness, mindfulness-based stress reduction, and Vipassana meditation. Rhonda has presented numerous workshops and classes on women’s health, Qi Gong, Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition, stress reduction, and strategies for dealing with cancer, and more.
